Default Hatch window water spots

I have a 1986 944 N/A. I bought the car a little over a month ago and have been gradually working on it. I have water spots on the rear hatch glass. A friend told me to not to worry and just use a wax cleaner and they would come off. They have not. Any ideas on how to get them off. Thanks

try a hammer.

seriously, have you looked into glass polish? i read a long time ago about how to remove small scratches and such from glass, but the process was very labor and time intensive. with today's technology it should be a little easier.

autoglym makes a polish/cleaner that supposedly removes water spots and stains.

Hi,

Do some searches on glass cleaning and polishing on the web. Some recomend Ammonia, some vinegar and apparently both can be used although not together...

There are also some sites that cater to car detailing and you can find more info there.

Also some swear by the idea of buffing/polishing the windows with newspaper after they are cleaned.

Good Luck,

Phil

I bought the Griot's Garage glass polish. Didn't take out water marks...but it did smooth out the glass and make my wipers work much better. Bon Ami is great too, but not a polish.

Great avatar, BTW. I knew Ruby used a guitar, but it was covered up by the pro-guitar people!
