Ever wanted to add central locking to your car?
Well, this 1986 944 that I am taking apart had the option and I have carefully removed all the components. Both Porsche script door handles, both latching mechanism, both door harnesses, the steering column brain, the switch(connects to number 4) and a key. I even have the cool little black key code metal tab that came with these cars from the dealer. Everything is in good working condition except for both the little plastic arms on each actuator. These a prone to break and they are missing the little tabs that keep them in place. These are easy parts to pick up.
I am starting out looking for $300 for all these parts. You could probably sell you own door handles and recoup almost $100 of that cost. I have the ignition lock and possibly the rear hatch lock availalble as well if you didn't want to deal with re-keying. I just can't figure out how to remove the ignition Must need a special tool.... I also took a couple pictures to help with installing these. This locking system does not have the blinking red door posts as it does not have anything to do with the Porsche Alarm System.

Is the the little metal tag just to the left of the key in the picture and has the key code inscribed on it. That way if you wanted a new key you just went into the dealer with the code and they could cook you up one.
