Eivind, as was discussed on the first page of this thread, we're aware she drives a 928 in the video. But the car in the pool is a 944. Seems they swapped it out seeing as an old 944 is cheaper than the usual functioning 928.
I liked the part of the video where they flashed the Porsche badge...among other parts.

I know Kurt. Just added the pics for those who hadn't seen the video.
It kind of reminds me of a Deep Purple concert i went to. It was the last concert Ritchie ever did with the band. During the climax of the show (Ritchie's solo), he goes off stage, picks up a different guitar, a no-name piece of crap, plays 8 bars and smashes the guitar. During the California Jam show in the 70's, he destroyed 3 Fender Strats. I guess he's getting old.

I don't see it as a waste at all. These Hollywood folks aren't that stupid. First, they knew to swap out a more common 944 for the 928, the average Joe won't know. The 928 was obviously running and sounding great. I'm betting the 944 was pulled from a junkyard, buffed up and totally gutted in the engine compartment. It wouldn't look good to have an oil slick or any other auto fluids swimming around with Brit. They pulled it out of the pool, put it on a flatbed and sent it back to the scrapyard. Back there at the yard some pimple face hormone raging 17 yr old will recognize it as a car with valuable snail tracks on the hood, and save it. Yep, he may drop in a V8 or something more in the lines of originality, but he will put it back together with a receipt showing it as the Brit Spears vid car..it will hit the road again, worth more than any other 944..albeit with a salvage title. Either that, or part it out. Either way it is a fate better than a rats nest at a junkyard!
