Seems to me like it is time for you to take a trip to the butcher, get a new tank for the BBQ, and invite all the local guys over for a wrenching party.

And the sooner the better.

On the other hand, my firebird project has been going on for over 25 years. What's the rush?

kinda reminds me of that old story about the 18 year old who thought is dad was dumb. then when he was 21 he was amazed how smart his dad had become in just 3 years

ABout time someone talked some sense into you, props to daddy-o. Noone ever accomplishes anything by giving up. You're only in over your head if you let yourself be, plenty of knoweledge out there to be had, now go get it and build yourself a helluva runner man! Good luck

Jake - i sympathize with your feeling of desperation - god knows i've been there a few times, too. but i sure am glad you're keeping it after all and giving it the old "gonna fix it no matter how long it takes" attitude.
