First of all, for me anyway, the best looking 911 was the 993 series (especially the turbo S).

Ever since '98 when the new shape came out, i felt that they lost their touch of magic and started this series for competition.

Now, returning back to the 993 (head lights and front shape) and adding more modern features, it seem's to geta perfect touch and sense of everything......

I haven't seen one on the roads YET, but i am SURE to find it beautiful when moving rather than pics in Magazines or on the web/TV.

The car looks great but the wheels are hideous.

I agree, the wheels need to go. Something tells me that there will be a huge influx of those wheels available on ebay soon, when new 997 owners that have taste replace the stock wheels with something more aesthetically pleasing.

"Worst wheels ever" (said in the manner of the comic book store owner on the Simpsons)

That would be great with the wheels Winslow has (I LOVE those things!) I did drop that picture onto my desktop- and in 800x600 with the "stretch" feature enabled- Voila! It's a VW Beetle!

I thought that the wheels looked much better in person then in any of the photos I had seen. They aren't the best ever, but I could live with them.

They need a modern version of Fuchs. That would be the ultimate.

There were alot of nice wheels offered for the 996...seems like the only thing they messed up on the 997.

The wheels look like rejects from the Cayenne design team.
The Sport Classic wheels or the ones on the GT3 would look great on there.

Pete, I think you nailed it. They have a distinct SUV/Offroad look to them. It looks like something off of a Toyota 4Runner.

Those wheels are horrible!! Look like old Boxster 5-spokes on sterroids!
That said, the 997 is the best looking new Porsche I've seen! I saw the write up in Panarama...I want a silver one!!!
