Pretty amazing range of prices. I can understand that with rebuilts...because the quality of the rebuild can vary widely, and the cost of going into the rebuild business would be reasonably low. But I'm surprised about the new pumps. Doesn't seem there would be a big enough market for more than a couple manufacturers to even make them! You don't suppose there are NEW pumps coming from Taiwan or China do you?

FWIW, when I purchased a water pump for my Nissan Pathfinder this past weekend, the prices for new (not rebuilt) ranged from $89 to $260. The timing belt was $50 (ouch!). Porsches aren't the only cars with pricey parts..............
