Default Perry 951 Update - Parts Help Also Needed

Hey all... been a while. Unfortunately I am still unemployed and trying to live on the cheap until something comes up. If you own or manage a business in Atlanta and need some temporary help, let me know!

I've been tinkering with my 951 in the vast amount of spare time I seem to have with hopes of getting it road worthy again. I've only put 1200 miles on it this year because of a coolant loss problem. A short while back I slightly overheated it........ and during the process, I thought I cracked one of my end tanks on the radiator. I finally pulled it apart to see that I blew out the small fitting just above the upper inlet.

Check your used parts bins... PN 944.106.927.00

I also need a fan switch... PN 951.606.481.00

Hopefully I'll be employed soon so I can afford some reliable internet access. Running around town to find an open wireless port is getting tiresome!!
Please PM me about the parts or employment.

Best to all.

Good to hear from you, Perry. You were missed.

I may have a temperature switch, but it's a standard WAHL and not the 951 part, so it probably won't work for you?

Nah... needs to be the 951 PN, both lower and upper activation temps are different than the 944.

I've been pretty good... broke, bored, but I'm in good health and goos spirits. Hopefully something will come along soon.

Ive got a used 951. Works fine, I just bought a new one during my coolant problems lol. IIRC its a low temp one too.

PM me your address and you can have it. Dont have a new crush washer for it tho. Teflon tape should work well though.

Edit: And are you talking about the small bleed hose fitting thats above the port thats above the termofan switch?

I think I have got the small fitting that you need, its yours. I am pretty sure I also have a fan switch for you, but I will have to check when I get home.

I have an employment opportunity for you... wanna come up to KC and help me do some wrenching? I have a TON of projects to do before our RennTreffen event, and I am running out of time. Gas to drive to and from Atlanta will be paid, you can crash on my couch in the basement and I will make it worth your while, cash-wise, if you are interested. I REALLY want to drive the Gen'l Lee down to RennTreffen, but business and domestic obligations are making it tough...

Regards,

Default What? Drive a 951- but jobless?

Brian,

Every time my car has problems- I think of your web page...and realize my problems are not that bad. I have a good 951 fan switch. Reply with your addy. I sold my laptop and got a smartphone instead. I too, live on-the-go. Now, my new 100% wireless cellphone/PDA/Organizer/Email/Internet/Digital camera does everything I need to do- in one small(candy bar)sized package. The best thing is I never have to search for a wireless port(whats the USE??) anymore. The cell phone can be used anywhere in the world, including the top of Mt. Everest, or the middle of the Pacific Ocean.

What is the state of your car lately? Your plight is almost over. We hope.

Take CAre,
Zach

Nice to hear from you Brian. You were missed at the Fest this year! Now that we have heard from you, we can dispell all of those "gay" rumors that were floating around about you... "not that there is anything wrong with that".

Hopin' your luck get's better soon!!

Take Care,
Cory
