So it's normal for my rear tire to feel like its bouncing when the tires spin?

You need more rebound damping on the rear shock.

In addition to what Danno said, wheel hop is also caused by bad suspension bushings allowing the suspension to flop around a bit.

If you want a drag car - go buy a Mustang or a Corvette. That's NOT what these cars are made for. The strength is in the handling. If your track friends are giving you crap about it, offer to give them a 1/2-lap head start on a 5-lap race on a nice twisty track. You'll embarrass them 10 times out of 10 unless you have no driving skill at all. That should pretty much quiet the criticism after that. . .
