question..
if JD just built a new wing, why are they still so crammed for space. wouldnt they have built the new wing to accomodate what they have already with room for growth?

There are issues with the floor in the new and old wing, the cars you saw were crammed into another location, with the same amount crammed into a garage at another location.
The floors need to be redone one more time, then cure, then he can move the cars back in. The hope is to get them all under one roof. The Taj now has 11,000 square feet of display space for the cars.

I keep coming back to this thread just to look at the pics. I cant believe I was in the same room as greatness.
The cars were pretty cool too.
Mr Dixon is a fine American and a gracious host. Very humble and just an enthusiast like us. Only difference is his checks have a lot more zeros on the end.

I'm sure tires had never been mounted on them.

I guess I could have stated the truth, which was "well, I'm pretty happy beating you by over 8 seconds at every autocross we are at, so I don't need a 911"............................
