Default just wondering...

Some redneck backed into my 84 944 at the bar and put his trailer hitch through my drivers side fender, right where it meets the bumber, which was was also pushed in(hoping it is just a bumper piston)
What would these things cost and what is involved in replacing a fender?

I would start calling around for a used fender/bumper and maybe a nose piece if the damage reached that far. Then you will more than likely have to have them painted to match the car. All together with shipping, painting and parts costs you will be lucky to get away for $800... and thats on the extremely conservative side.

The fender is not too hard to change.....I took mine off in an afternoon (including a short drive to get a smaller socket to reach the bolt between the fender and the nose panel....don't forget the 3 bolts on the inside of the fender at the back mounting the fender to the door post/cab pillar....one at the very top inside is a little tough to reach unless you jack up the car and remove the wheel (suggested)...
