Default A-Pillar gauge pod?

Anyone know where to get an a-pillar gauge pod? I searched here and on the web and came up empty.

Any help appreciated.
Thanks,
Chuck

Adding a monster gauge pillar pod, in a refined GT like the 944... is as inappropo as polishing a turd. i.e: it will never look good, much less make your imported, German "quarter-miler" an NHRA legend. Everything we need to stay informed- is already present. Everything required to drive safely within limits- is baked deep within this car's soul. Bling-bling embellishments like loud stickers, and flashy neon may not get you an extra 16mpg per tank- but easily shave a good 1/10th off your 1/4-mile finish.

Zach, I will live with the "rice" while making sure the engine is not about to blow up. IT houses my EGT and Boost gauges both in a place where I can easily see them. The panels that go under the radio require too much time with your eyes off the road for my taste.

Yep, I want it solely for a boost gauge at this point. If you feel that the OEM boost gauge is adequate then I feel sorry for you. I am not willing to give up the storage under the radio, so the only other option is an a-pillar pod.

Your car is an N/A. No insult, but Turbos (modded ones) need to have their vitals kept track of.

I detect a little hate in that post. And I, too, disagree. A few good engine monitoring tools do not equate with 'rice' and allusions to '1/4 mile monster'. And how did an A-pillar gauge turn into neon and bling-bling?

Chill, dude.

clangjr,
For pics of the lotek installed, look at the link in my signature.

i got one thats like the 9xauto one, not from there but its the same thing. its a full pillar, which is really nice because it doesn't have any harsh lines which make it look like a cheap piece you glued in. Real easy to instal too, just bolts right in.

I got one cuz i needed a boost gauge and a better water temp gauge because i dropped a turbo motor into my na. I dont really think its ricey, its not gigantic and people who dont know about the car usually think its stock, because it matches the interior really nice. My advice is get some gauges in there that match your stock ones, looks great.

i'd look for one on ebay though, the 9xauto ones are really expensive

The shame of it is, a Rennlister had the idea, found a plastics shop, borrowed an A piller cover from another Rennlister and then had a series of them made. The POS at 9X auto had it copied and is selling them for A LOT more than they originally went for. He could at least make the price a little closer to what they went for when they were sold here and he should be giving a peice of it to the guy(s) who did all the work.
Between this and the crappy customer service and some of the poorly made products he sells (not to mention his rants on this forum when he was called on these items), there's no way I could ever buy from him or suggest that someone else does.

I have to ask a simple question here. For those of you with the Lotek pod, are the gauges angled at all towards the driver? I wear reading glasses only, not for driving, and drive closer to the wheel than most folks. I've wondered how close those gauges come to your face...my sight under 14" gets bad real fast but the OEM cluster gauges are fine. I really need to get boost and AFR gauges soon.

The Lotek does not angle them in at all. I sit reasonably close as well and have to look to teh left slightly to see them.

So then does anyone make an angled one? It jus seems to make more sense. I would have to mount them both really low on the pillar to work for me.
