Default broken oil pressure sender

re-installing my engine and buttoning up the miscellani, i guess i overtightened the nut on my sender, and broke off the post. I broek the left side, marked "g". The side marked "wk" is fine. Did I break the guage side, or the dummy light. If I still have a good guage side, will it sill work on the bar-gage until I can get another sender sent to me?

I'd rather not start it back up after the work I've just done (oil cooler seals), belt-tensioning, etc, without an oil pressure guage.

Question oil pressure sender markings

On the oil pressure sender, what does "G" mean? "WK"?

G is the gauge side, WK is the warning light.
