Default Houston Grease Slinger GTG Sat 28

On the rare occasion of me being off on a weekend, I was wondering if anybody / everybody was up for a get together? North Houston, Kingwood.

Either day or both...

If things go as planned, I might be looking at a T-belt replacement and/or other assorted goodies.

Perhaps a drive up to lake Conroe or Houston in the evening?

Big garage, ramps, jacks, power bleeder, tools etc.....

I leave tomorrow for a loooong 6 day stretch.. but I'll try and check in on the replies.

Cool! I'm open to either day, or both. The alternative is writing my thesis all weekend. I close on the house on 8/31...so not much to distract me until then except and

Gotta work that weekend. I'll probably be a no-show.

We can all meet at the new house, but it would be a sod throwing party and I'm afraid NO ONE would show up (9 pallets - 450 sq. yds.). Heck, I wouldn't be there if I didn't have to be. The 28th is my birthday - ya'll be sure and save me a piece of cake.

Can you help me push my car over to your house?

I think I can make it.

I hope to work on getting that G20 out of the garage next week. The burn is healing well and it's nearly fully covered with skin again.

I thought I stepped on the gun trigger at first (and that scared me). Then I realized it was my sweat boiling and the first layer of skin vaporizing. That was a week and a half ago.

That's about it. Barely had anything resembling a potty mouth even. Barely hurt. In fact, at first I thought about continuing to work and then good sense took over and I realized I needed to get ice on it immediately. About an hour later the shock wore off and it hurt again for a bit. The worst pain was about 3 out of 10 and that was after a bandage change (some changes were non-events and others HURT). Usually the pain was only about 1.5.

You'd think I could have at least welded something cool onto the tubes before hand so I could have a cool brand.

Rub some dirt on it ya pansy.

Actually, that doesn't look like fun, but in the world of welding accidents that's about as good as it gets.

Hehe. That's what my teammates on my volleyball team used to say to each other when we'd get hurt. "Rub some dirt in it and get back in the game!"

At least I didn't run my fingers through the tablesaw. I talked with someone on-line for a while who did that. Watched himself do it too. Sort of an out of body experience.

I'm more upset about being that stupid than anything else.

Surprisingly it didn't hurt very badly at all. I was really surprised.

It was very stupid however.

I may be able to do something Saturday, I'm working Sunday.

Edit: On second thought, I'm working late afternoon also. But I'll do something during the day.
