Question Fuel Injector Plug - where is it?! - HELP

Hey guys,

Where is the Fuel Injector Plug and how do I take it off???

"Pologuy,

Thats excatly what my car was doing. For kicks pull a fuel injector plug off and if your car stays on...BINGO. Fuel pressure regulator. Its worth a try. I went thru everything your going thru and a mechanic swore up and down it wasnt the fuel pressure regulator and fellow rennlisters suggested that it was. Rennlisters were correct. Give it a try."

there is a plug on the left side of each injector (as you face the engine from the front) under the fuel rail. there is a wire keeper that you need to carefully pry up on to disconnect the plug. work slow with a small screwdriver and you will see how to move the wire to free the plug.

Fuel rail?

I think most of you guys think that everyone in here is some sort of mechanic

I know NOTHING about car mechanics, I dont know where the fuel rail is, where the fuel pump is, where the fuel filter is.....nada.

I do know where the spark plugs, air filter, oil dip stick are though lol

Looking at the engine the fuel rail is just to the left of the spark plugs and just to the right of the valve cover (the big thing that says porsche on it). Oh yeah...Fuel pump is right behind the passenger's rear tire, and if you follow the line from the pump toward the engine the fuel filter is like 2 feet away.

First thing is to buy a cheap manual and read it.

Thats a pic of what youre looking for. I have those braided lines, youll have thick black rubber ones. That wire above the R is one of the 4 injector wires. BE VERY VERY GENTLE WITH IT, IT WILL BE FRAGILE. Same goes for the plastic on its clip.

"Haynes porsche 944" shop manual. You should be able to find it at a local autoparts store.
