Dave,
My first week going to work here in NC I passed someone in a pretty nice looking 914 - he waved to me and I did the same as well! I know when I was in New Jersey I only got a wave once, and that was about 3 miles from the Pennsylvania border on the way to Pocono raceway.

I passed another 944 today and didn't even get a look...total let down. I even had my hand out the window waving. That's okay though, they just weren't paying attention...they would have waved had they seen me...right?

I get loads of waves from 944s in the SF bay area - there are loads of 944s to wave at so the chances of getting waves back are pretty good - never bother waving at other P-cars, otherwise i'd constantly be waving my arms around like an idiot!

A wave, nod, "cut-loose" sign...anything that acknowledges that we, as Porsche owners- are a discerning group of individuals solely devoted to the care, feeding, and retained value of this highly obscure, underrated 2+2 GT.
