Default Photoshop Request: Gulf Blue 968

As the planning for the 968 / 951 engine swap continues I've been thinking about paintwork for the 968 when its all done. I'm going to have the engine bay sprayed in a flat black while the engine is out leaving me open to leave the car as is (amazon green) or to paint it just about any color (sure it won't look factory, but I know that, and considering the wrong motor will be in the car thats a small matter).

Anyway, I've been thinking of a few colors....

Gulf Blue (and was also thinking of the rockers, splitter, and rear bumper in the gulf orange, but that would only be if it became a dedicated track car)....

Iris blue

Graphite Grey (to match the 951)

or

Something a bit more Green.

Here is a car to start with....

Gulf blue with orange would rock, even if its not full on track. thats my vote.

What about Maritime Blue? It's a factory color....and a beautiful one at that. Just my opinion...

Too busy for the photoshop, but here is a pic of my favorite color on a 968 for your consideration:

True, porsche has some great blues, but the abscence of great silvers in the 944 series of cars is also amazing to me. Porsche has had so many great silvers, Artic, GT, Polar, etc, but with the 944 we have a gold silver, a pink silver, and just an off silver silver......

Tifo,

That car is incredible looking......

Looks kind of Smurfy to me for a street car, but would look nice on a track car.

Ian,

In 1997 BMW made a color for the 4 door M3, it's called Byzanz. It's a mettalic mix of orange, green, and some other colors that would look killer on a 968. If anyone has that pic of the Byzanz on the 951, post it.

Acutally, the 1960s Euro Ford Capri came in a similar metallic color.
