Hi Devon-

Sounds like a plan. I have some stuff around the house I need to finish up before going, but we should hook up on the way out there. What time are you planning on leaving and from where?

Yeah, I was at the Inskip concours. Mine was the silver S2 that did not enter....

Cheers,

305 Pleasant is a big brown house, white pillars.
Park in the back and come on upstairs to our place!

Good thing you didn't enter, definately would've stole my 3rd place plaque!! Hehe.. I really haven't planned at all. I plan on doing some cleaning of the car tomorrow and what not.. Whenever you are leaving give me a call. What route are you taking? I'm in Burrillville, but I could meet you probably from the route you are taking. I was probably going to take 44 out.. but, depending on how far you are going out of my way, (rhode island isn't too big) i am sure I can meet up with you. You are in providence right? it may be slower, but what if you took 44 all the way through, i could meet you on there as my house is about 5 minutes off of route 44 near Chepatchet and foster glocester. Let me know what you want to do.

Devon

Bring munchies if you would like, or a side dish.
Maybe we should get a dozen corn cobs?
I'm just brainstorming here.

Reminders:
-looks like there will be a good turnout, as many as a dozen (I can't keep track) from RI, CT, and maybe MA
-let's "get the party started" at or after 4:30pm (early, I know, but I'm excited!)
-my phone: 860-450-1424
-address: 305 Pleasant St, big brown house, white pillars on two floors of porch
-park in back
-enter in back
-let the good times roll!

Some things to consider:
-there's some great driving to be done, but we should likely go before it's dark, so...
-eats will begin around 6pm (?)
-driving around 7:30pm(?)
-there's a goofy local car meet / show at the itsy bitsy mall by us that it would be fun to crash; it's mostly ricers (some are really amazing actually), but I think they'd get a kick out of a dozen or so porsche rolling in.

Feedback?
What more info do you guys want?

Hey guys, Rt 44 isn't "too bad" but definately isn't the fastest.
It's leagues more fun than the jogging around with 395 and rt6 and whatever else you might consider. My wife and I head out to RI periodically and have taken every imaginable route.
Between route 6 and 44, 6 will be a bit faster, but is further south and once you reach CT, slows down a low.
There's no obvious winner.

Ray-

I can bring some corn cobs if that is what you want. Think 16 would be enough?? More??

Devon-

Been out 44 into CT once, it is not such a bad drive, just a bit slowin sections like you said. We can meet out by your place. I am now in East Prov. but I can take 44W out there. Is there any place along 44 we can hook up??

BTW my car is filthy, I mean really. I haven't washed it since coming back from Watkins at the end of May. Please don't hold it against me....

Riff:
16 is probably too many, so... perfect.
You have dibs on left-overs!

Hey, don't worry about the filth factor. My car has been sitting under sap at a body shop for the past weeks... I went to "take" it back for this gathering and was disgusted by the stains on the paint.
So, in addition to a wrecked front bumper, my paint looks like &^%$.
Then there's the rain...
Maybe we should have a "my car looks worse than yours" competition rather than a nicest detailing job competition!
I'll have required cleaning agents of every sort for those of you who are so inclined.

FYI: I don't know 44 well enough to suggest a meet-up for you and Devon, sorry.

Hey , i'll bring some chips or something.

Riff - Hmm. Do you know chepatchet at all? I could meet you at theres a "Country Store" or something right as you would be all the way through chepatchet, heading back on to a larger section of 44. Just for a landmark or two, it is a 3 way intersection, with a shut down gas station with fences all around it right across the street.
I'll try to get a map picture for you...
