I'm actually up for trying to do it if you are. . . ![Smilie](https://rennlist.com/forums/images/smilies/smile.gif)
I kind of doubt we'd get it spinning fast enough, but maybe with a little coaxing (like run the mixture super rich and then light it off with a spark plug or glow plug just before it feeds into the hot section)

Porsche-O-Phile,
There was somebody on here a while ago that was trying to turbocharge a Briggs & Stratton riding lawn mower engine. You can probably find the topic he posted about it and contact him about the size of the turbo and how he did it, if you're serious about trying it. I tried to find the topic and get you a link, but the search doesn't seem to want to work at the moment. Anyway, it sure would be and interesting project, and scary fast if it works.
Oh, and to comment on Brett's post, that thing looks awesome. I saw some of these pocket biikes, I believe they're called, for sale a while ago, but they were in the $500 range then. With how cheaply you got your's, I think I might have to check into it again; seems like it could be quite the fuun little toy.

It's one of those things that even if you ended up blowing it up it'd be hilarious. I think you could get it to work though. . . I've seen videos of guys that use their old turbochargers and mini jet engines - typically they can self-sustain but not produce appreciable thrust (only a single stage after all) - this would be using the same idea just to generate more rotation. I seriously think it could be done if desired. Also a possible way to get ANY very large turbo to work with an engine that would be ordinarily too small, or to get it to spool up in a real big hurry.

Well, I was joking about the k26, as its probably the same size as the motor... but if your serious about trying it, I'm down. It would be a lot of fun... I'll leave the top speed test to you though. i think if you honestly want to try it, we just find some tiny turbo and boost as much as safely possible, see what we can do. I assume boosting a 2 stroke is the same? We can run a 5 shot of nitrous to rid of the lag (you know, to do burnouts...) yea, this would be one of the things you just dont tell people you did, so you don;t have to deal with the eminant question; why?
er... we thought it would be fun(ny).

I'm half kidding, but if you can pick up one of those minibikes for $200 and a spare turbocharger for nothing, some piping and stuff for very litte. . . why not? It'd be hysterical to see one of those things ripping along at 100+!!!

Yeah they're illegal to ride on the streets here too, a couple of my friends have the "blatas." Those things are ****in sick, they can be modified to hit 60-80mph really easily.
Cass,
Can you post the link to the auction, for $200 I'll get one.

they have all kinds of upgrades for these things. K and N filters, tuned exhaust, velocity stacks, modified carbs, smaller sprockets. just about anything you can do to a honda... hah
