I feel we can start a pool on how long I keep the car, in fact i'm all for it. We can section it off in one month blocks and it will be 10 dollars a block to all those that enter. We can run it out for the next two years and if the car is sold in your block you take the pot..... now if I keep the car beyond two years then I keep the proceeds and donate them to rennlist........

Nah, no one would go for that....

Also on 951 related note:

I have completed my first couple projects:

1) Installed the SFR catback
2) Installed a used expansion tank (old one had a small leak)
3) Scrubed and cleaned the wheel wells, suspension, and the complete underside of the car (I can't believe how much dirt was built up on the wheel wells)
4) Replaced the tired centercaps with something a little nicer
5) Checked Brakes, swaybars, tire rods, 1/2 shafts, and ball joints to make sure I know where they stand....

And I have a list of things to tackle

1) Fix Rusty bits (a few area need my attention in a hurry)
2) Recharge AC
3) Repair / Replace the 1 - 4 Header (crack is audible at start up, but fades as she gets warm)
4) Replace brakes before my first driver's education in the car (November @ VIR if all goes as planned)
5) Buy floormats

I, for one, am glad that you are hooked on 951s, Ian. With your amazing creation now residing in my garage (when I am not out enjoying her---i.e., when I am eating, sleeping...), I am looking forward to following the development of your latest acquisition. All I can say is that if you ever turn your attention to the modification of 911s, Louis RUF had better watch his back!!!

I'm glad to see (judging from your updated signature) that you are planning to go ahead with the 968 project. That should be a lot of fun for you! Maybe one day, after you have enjoyed her for a while, I will be the proud owner of your 951/968 hybrid. What can I say? Satisfied customers keep coming back for more!

Well although you are far to kind Jonathan, I do thank you for your words....

But yes, the 968 project looks like its a go, i'm waiting on some documents on the 968 before I work out a possible purchase of the motor (and a few other bits), and the transmission is for sale. So the budget turbo 968 will get started when the money starts rolling in from the sold items. This is not going to be a wildly modded 951 motor, i'm thinking something very basic (injectors, MAP / MAF, chips, and a testpipe), but getting 300 crank hp out of a 968 is more than I could ever do with the N/A 3.0L......

Sounds like an incredible project.

What would the factory designation be? 968S2, 969? 944S4 Turbo? 970?

Just curious..

Well the factory never used the 968 Turbo badge, they went strait to the 968 Turbo S, so given that we can safely call this a 968 Turbo......

Sounds as cool as a 944 3.0 ClubSport .
