The alternator cable runs out of the grommet on top of the duct. THen it heads straight across to the block and up. Then take a 90-degree bend towards the back of the car parallel to the harness. It rests on the two arms of the head-shield that's next to the turbo. There's some plastic clips that hold the cable to the heat-shield. Mine cracked off, so I run a zip-tie through the two holes on the heat-shield arms and hold down both the alternator cable and the wiring harness. Then the cable goes between the block and the air-oil separator and heads down to the starter.

two heavy wires go to 30 terminal on the starter, the large lug that takes the 13mm nut, the small wire goes to the 50 terminal, the small lug that takes the 8mm nut. The terminal that is bottom right as you look at the back of the solenoid has the braided cable that goes to the starter.

Ok, going off the picture you posted, the short stud on the lower-right (5-o'clock) is the positive-output to the starter itself. It already has a cable on it if you look closely. Screw on a nut to hold it tight and that's it.

The upper longer stud at 12-noon holds two cables. One comes from the positive output on the starter. The other comes from the positive-terminal of the battery.

The smaller post on the lower-left (8-o'clock) is the smaller wire from the ignition-switch.
