If nothing else, you could PM me your VIN and I could check for you on monday.
It's a relatively 'low' VIN, so I could definitely see the factory using some 51 blocks on the early 'S' cars. I hear that Porsche did some crazy custom orders in the late 80's....I've heard of some orders for 911 Turbos that had all the Turbo upgrades except the engine. Maybe that's the case here, but I had Red1's '89 951 right beside mine last night for a direct comparison and both turbo housings had the same code...K26 or something like that, don't remember the exact code but they were the same. Haven't crawled under to check the stamping on the backside of the housing yet.

FWIW, the block code I read was about 8-10 inches down, on the passenger side, next to the firewall. Directly below the header.

I'll document with pics as soon as I get moved into the house and my stuff is out of storage. Until then I'm afraid text descriptions will have to do.

FSAEracer03, I'll PM the VIN to you.

Close, but not quite right. They were regular 911s that had everything the turbo had (same car) except the engine. The the concept is correct.

Ah, yes...that's what I was trying to say, just didn't come out right. Thanks for clarifying.
