The rear wing on that car is not right (and downright ugly, though I am sure purpose built!)

Andy - the ground up rebuild, while cool was a phenomenal waste of money as he could easily have bought another one, and had enough left over for a 993 TT. DAMN COOL THOUGH.

Mattress Mac has one on display at Gallery Furniture. Along with a Testarossa and a Jeff Gordon Cup car. They are out in the open for everyone to walk right up to and even scratch with their jeans (the F40 has a nasty scratch in one spot). I couldn't believe it. That car gives me a ........

I also saw one driving along Allens Parkway about 4 years ago. Yum yum.

George - maybe that is a zipper scrape from someone trying to....um...do it, with the car, since we know it gives...um...woodies. Besides, what the hell else is there to do in a Furniture store?

It wasn't Mac. It was that guy that has a bunch of 'em. What's his name, Hand? Something like that. He was indicted a couple years later for improper money moves with his company. (big surprise!)

I think the third exhaust pipe is a wastegate exhaust for the turbo system.

Different horses for different courses. The F40 is a true king of speed, but its daddy, the 288 GTO, has an unsurpassed combination of supercar performance and all out Ferrariness, IMHO.

Ah, yes, the 288 GTO, what a beautiful machine. I'm not saying that the F40 is ugly, but I'd take a 288 over it any day.

When they both came out I thought the 288GTO was the best looking Ferrari in years and the F40 was an ugly duckling. I still love the 288GTO, but the F40 has grown on me to the point I'd prefer it today. I really like the F348 and F355. If they would only come down a bit more in price (not going to happen).

It's old school, but the 250GTO still makes me weak in the knees.
