Default what do you guys think?

ok, here's the deal. i am planning on buying a new (used) car here in the very near future. am i crazy to consider a 944 (or an older 911) as a daily driver? i have another car at my disposal if the porsche was out of commission for a bit of time. i also understand the little problems that can be associated with running an older car daily - i have never ownd a car newer than a 94.

it's just that no matter what i look at, no matter what i test drive, NOTHING compares the feelings my last p-car invoked.

would you guys think i am crazy if the car had to sleep outside? my garage is currently filled with motorcycle ****e.

thanks!!

that's why i'm on my third 944 in 6 years. i say go for it. the mid 80's 911's were very reliable from my understanding. probably would make a great daily driver (except for the lack of good A/C and poor storage capacity).

Saw a post earlier today on these boards for an '83 911 SC around $11K. PCA member with service records located in CT.

Good luck!

Well here is the deal..Have you ever driven an older 911, cause comparing the way an older 911 drives and feels compared to a 944..well its like night and day....! The cars are completely different drivers....The shifting is different, the clutch feels different, the brakes feel different, It sits you different, I mean everything...So be sure that you are comfortable in the car and the way it drives, especially with a daily driver.....And of course a little more money and little bit harder to work on then the 944 of course....mY first time driving an older 911, I was very suprised at how it drove compared to the 944....Personally I think the 944 rides and drives better....
