Oh boy this is making me nervous.. I just won an auction for a new dash for my '83 on eBay, and i'm hoping to have a chance to get it done before classes start again...I already have the center console completly out, but Ken's last post is what makes me nervous...

That's good advice about not forcing anything. Remember that the plastic parts of your car (trim pieces and so forth) are more than twenty years old. That stuff gets brittle and will crack/break if forced--and it's expensive to replace!

Thanks for all the advice guys, i'm feeling alot better about it.
Sean, i've learned the hard way about not forcing anything with the interior of these cars. I ripped some of the headliner trying to take a trim piece off soon after I got the car.. argh! Thankfully the dash is in really good shape so i'm guessing its coming from a late 80's 924S, and will hopefully be alot less brittle than my current one.
