Default Small parts favor to ask...

After doing some reading on the E-Mail lists about rear wheel bearings, I realize that although the wheel bearings and seals on my 83 have been done a few times already, the axle spacers have not been replaced.

Lister Charlotte944 recommends replacing them because as they wear, they can let water into the axle and rust out the bearings prematurely which is probably what has happened to my car.

I've looked locally for the spacers, but can't buy them here on the island, as they appear to be a "dealer only" item, even though they have VW part numbers:

Outer spacer: 113.501.303 (1 per axle). Need: 2
Inner spacer: 113.501.305 (1 per axle). Need: 2
O-Ring: 113.501.291B (1 per axle). Need: 2

Could someone buy them at their local Porsche dealer and mail them to me? I can PayPal or send you an advance check or money order for the total plus shipping. Please PM me if you can help.

TIA

Don't the 113 part numbers indicate VAG parts? You might see if they are the same as on a Vanagon or something.

If 944S2NUT runs into problems let me know. I'll be happy to pick them up and I deliver. Nothing like the personal touch I always say

I love the Carribean!

You guys are always welcome if you're down this way. Have an extra room and live 2 blocks away from the beach!

As for the VW parts, yes, 113 would indicate that but the aftermarket VW parts places I've checked don't have these in stock for some reason.

Luis,
If either of there dealers don't have the parts, drop me a line. I'll go down and see if my dealer has them.

Thanks to all. Just let me know what you find out, Travis. Otherwise I'll take anyone else up on the offer to get these little buggers!
