Default 2 questions while i'm yanking my engine

1. The procedure says to disconnect the starter wiring at the back of the engine and even shows a picture in the Haynes manual, but i'll be damned if i can find it. Where is it?

2. Just above the heater valve at the back of the engine, the engine wiring DME/DEE wiring harness is bolted to the engine block. I found the following wire haning loose near there. Should it be connected to something?

There are 2 pictures of it attached.

That is the ground for the harness. You don't have to take it off. What the Haynes manual is talking about is the cable going down to the starter is held to the bell housing by a bracket. You have to take it loose. You also have to take the ground strap that goes from the firewall to the motor. The place where the starter cable is bolted to the flywheel is about 3 inches above the torque tube. You have to be under the car to get it loose.
