parts car in ventura california
There is an early 944 parts car in town that I might want at least the manual transmission, engine, hatch, front glass, and some other parts from.
Are pre na 86 manual transmissions just as good as 86 and later ones?
What is the difference in the engines?
Does anyone else need parts we could split it up the cost. The guy said $1,000 for the whole thing, but I yelled back that I got the red one that I drove there with for $500. (the parts car isnt moving and the engine is dismantled partly. And the interior looks like crap, but could clean up.
Let me know if anyone wants to make a group buy and split up the parts.

The other thing to do - if you are so inclined - is to buy the whole thing (haggle to get it as low as possible) and then sell the parts at the German AutoFest which will be happening soon in your town. You could easily get your money back and/or make a little at the same time.

there were so many crappy parts there last time I went... I went late however... but that is a good idea... when is the date again? its a kind of greyish silver, not the normal silver. What is a good price for it if I could get my way? They said $1,000 when I got out of my car...
And what do you mean mounts? Mounts for what and where? The mounts on the car? or the mounts on the trans? I just want to know if I can take the early 944 trans and put it in an 86na car...
