Default parking brake adjust?

in clarks garage it says insert a screwdriver into the hole in the hub and turn the adjuster. i was looking in that hole inbetween 2 of the studs (the biggest one) and went all the way around and i didnt see anything that looked like an adjuster. were is this thing at. it isnt something you have to do form the back of the rotor is it.?

The left side tightens in the opposite direction as the right. I found a small blade skinny screwdriver works better than my brake adjusting lever tool. I also noticed that after it's readjusted there is still a tiny bit of drag for a day or 2 if you go for the 3 click adjusment. It also helps to mark the hub/rotor position with a paint pen so you go back to the same spot after testing the adjustment, over and over and over again. This was on my 83, not sure if it's the same goes for the 85.5+. I didn't have to do anything with my cable at the handle end.

that wasnt to hard at all. its like a gear that spins up and down. you just stick the screwdriver in between the teeth of the gear and push up or down to move it. the passenger side is down to tighten and the drivers side is up to tighten.

i havent messed with the handle yet but im sure both sides are not exactly the same. thats why you adjust the handle too, so theyre both getting the same amount or something. either way i still cant lock up the wheels when im rolling. so i think i just need new pads in there....

As well as the pads wearing the inside of the bell of the rotor wears. When I replaced my rear rotors I had to loosen the hand brake pads to get the new rotors on.

On each side I tightened until I felt friction with the hand brake off then I loosened until the rotor turned freely. I felt that by doing it this way I would get the maximum engagement.

I also used a screw driver to push the gear.
