Zims is very fast on shipping, it's already in my car. Here's a photo of the tensioner compressed before installing.

I just ordered two upper pads from my local using the 928 part number. List is now up to around $16 but he said with my PCA discount they'd be about $10 each. The price has gone up quite a bit but they are still out there, which is good news.

See the pic above. There is a 928 part number on the part, even in the 16v 944's. You have to order it with the 928 part number, as the parts guys cannot seem to find it for 944s or S2's.

Jfrahm Can you post the #? I tried to order a pad from the dealer from the 928 part# on the pad and it came up as the whole tensioner. Atleast that is what the guy and the local dealer (Crescent City Porsche) told my dad.

Thanks

I already posted the part number on page 1 of this thread:

928 105 509 01

It's the number I used to order two yesterday. Maybe your parts guy cannot order by the number and tried to look it up. I did tell the guy who ordered these two they were for my 928 (which might be true, they are just spares) so maybe if they look it up in PET for the 928S4 they find 'em.
