Default OPRV problems maybe. Need advice on oil pressure problems

I heard a rattling, knocking sound this morning under my cam cover. After researching old threads, I suspect that the OPRV on my 87 951 may have a bad o-ring. I found the part number (944-107-935-01 ) for the orings.

Does anyone know the actual size of this Oring? I am leaving work in a few minutes to work on the car. We have about 300 different sized orings here. I'd like to find something here, instead of waiting a week for UPS ground to get one here from CA.

Thanks!

Rob, while I can't be sure of the o-ring size, I can tell you that if you have a delay in oil pressure on start up, about 30 seconds, you should remove the OPRV and replace the o-rings. You should be able to pick them up at the dealer for around $5.00.

Ended up being the rotor inside the cap making all the noise, but thanks for the advice. Oil pressure pops to 4bar on startup, about .5-1.5 secs after ignition.

The O-ring is the size of a dime- unattached. The circumference of the ring edges is thick- roughly 1/16".
