some idiot, do you believe it? Last done in 1992. Even the balance shaft was off, glass smooth now timing dead on

I guess they figured the timing mark is "rotor pointing down" LOL

If it runs nice now, I guess four teeth doesn't damage anything

just one thing to add, I had a motor skip 2 teeth on a diesel. It’s interference and ran like crap but nothing broke. A year later, it started making a slight ticking sound, a couple of the tappets were pressed in.
