Going to the Homeland tomorrow!!! Stuttgart Museum! Stuff to see?
Hey guys,
I'm going to Europe tomorrow for 3 weeks!!! I'm doing a huge tour through Germany, France, Austria, Liechstenstein, Switzerland, and Italy. I lived in Paris last year on exchange through school for 10 months (the best time of my life), and I met friends from literally all over the world, most in Europe, and I'm going to visit many of them these next few weeks!!! I'm so friggin excited...
Anyways, my tour is roughly as follows: Frankfurt, Mannheim, Strasbourg (France), Stuttgart (WOOHOO!!!), Munich, Salzburg, Zurich, Locarno, Milan, Venice, Florence, Siena, and finally Rome. (Whew!)
Now, I will be going to the Porsche Museum in Stuttgart of course, I'm stoked!!!
I wanted to ask some of you in the 944 forum, who might have visited these parts or who might live there now, this question: What should I not miss seeing when I travel this route???
I appreciate any suggestions,
TIA, Brendan

Just went in May...You have to call ahead for the factory tour; the museum itself is smaller than you might think, though well worht it. Take the S-bahn to the Porscheplatz station and walk across...
Mercedes Museum is also there; they are closed on Mondays...If you need a nice hotel, stay the Kronin (about 115 Euros, IIRC); only about 5 minutes walk from the train station...
EDIT: You may also want to go to Heidelberg, only about an hour's train ride from Stuttgart...Alt Heidelberg is pretty cool...The ICE train ride from Heidelberg to Koln up the Rhein is breathtaking...
