Which way do I turn it???
I've got a nasty vibration at 3000 RPM and believe I have a balance belt mis-alignment. I've been to Clark's Garage (great site) and understand what needs to be done. My question is....when I rotate the engine clockwise to find TDC, which way is clockwise..clockwise as I'm facing the engine or clockwise as the driver faces???
Thanks for any help I can get

Nothing. The engine would turn the other way. Assuming the car is in neutral and the engine / flywheel is disengaged from the rear wheels, nothing bad will happen. I've seen people go that little tiny bit past the "OT" mark and end up going another full 359.999 degrees of rotation to get it on. AFIK this is not necessary, it is okay to bump it back the other way a hair to get it spot on the mark.

Not a problem to turn it backwards. But if you're trying to tension the belts, you're supposed to turn it 2 revolutions clockwise and back counterclockwise 10 degrees (1 1/2 camshaft teeth).
