My brother is getting married in Rome, Italy in late September. I plan on being across the pond for about a week. I have never been to Europe, and I really want to go to Germany, even more so Stuttgart and see Nürburgring. I don't plan on spending more than 2 days in Rome, and I'm trying to fill in the rest of the trip. Where in Switzerland, and Germany should I visit, other than those mentioned, and how would you recommend me getting there? Trains? Should I buy a euro pass, a membership here, or what? Just joking, It'll happen soon enough. I'm guessing that Rome is about 600 miles from Zurich, and Stuttgart is about 400 miles. Is that close enough to an equal median?
