Good pictures.

The block off kit is about $12 and the Guide rail kit is about $55.
What's involved in making the modifications? Any pics?

www.clarks-garage.com has a decent wrtie up on replacing the water pump. If the front seals are still good and you don't want to pull the crank and balance shaft bearings, you can cut the rear cover in half horizontally and get to the water pump. This is what I did the second time around rather than bother with all the pulleys. Think I have a diagram showing where I cut.

Your car already has the guide rail. It's the metal piece between the water pump pulley and the cambelt idler pulley. The Block off is a closed off plastic outlet with 2 bolts and an O-ring. Nothing to modify for that.
