A year or two ago I also considered trying another nile green 88 that had factory green seat-piping. I didn't have the $$ then, though - too bad It's a great color, and I love all of the "earth" tones on these cars.

Thanks Micah! It's probably the same one. I bought it from a fellow PCA member in North Carolina. In addition to looking for a 951, I was specifically looking for unusual/non-standard color combinations.
Mileage is fairly high. I had two PPIs done (including comp & leakdown tests) and everything came back ok. I'll eventually rebuild the motor but it doesn't need it right now.
I just sold my Graphite Metallic 85.5, on the same day the truck arrived from NC with the 951. That helped somewhat with the "seller's remorse."

Well, it isn't my car, but same colors. The nose of my car has about a million rock chips.

Sure. These are from early this year, pre-stickers. In a lot of pics it looks so black, these shots are a little better. I can PM more. Click the link in my sig for another pic

I want to say the photo in the link you attached is NOT azure blue. Looks metallic to me. Ocean Blue perhaps

Mike, is that a 88 TurboS?? What is the color code, cause if it is an 88S, in original paint, you have a very rare car - the only Ocean Blue from what I can find

Silver Rose = 339
Guards Red G1 = 110
Alpine White P1 = 63
Black A1 = 62
Maraschino Red MetQ4 = 51
Stone Grey MetU8 = 51
Zermatt SilverL1 = 36
Almond Met U5 = 2
Ocean Blue MetQ2 = 1
Total 715

yes, I know the totals should be 716 to 718 units sold.... so somewhere between 1 to 3 units unaccounted for.

Check my sig, we've only found 8 US speed yellow 968's, coupes or cabs.

.
No, it's not a true S, and not ocean blue. It is a built up non-S, azure blue(LY57 or something close to that). K26/8, S4 brakes, Cup Suspension among other allowed mods. Sometime here I'll convince my father to swap me the tranny from his '89 turbo(that baltic blue in pic). He doesn't need LSD on the street

I've seen that "S" list before. Not 100% sure of the authenticity though. There is a factory Azure Blue "S" spec turbo in the DC area. I'm 99.9% sure it's an '89, not an '88. Next time I talk to the owner I'll ask. Rare color

Sorry Dan - no info on the 89 Turbos - just 1385 built for USA and Canada and 1333 built for rest of the world. 1990 - 144 Turbos sold in Canada, 0 in USA.

I'm surprised I've never seen a green 944, those must be pretty rare indeed.
