Heres the deal...I found a low mile(69K) '87 951 which needs some TLC(clutch,new turbo,motor mounts,new paint because of oxidation no accidents). Already has TB and pump, new rotors/pads.
Rare color combo( cranberry red- not guards red, with linen leather. Interior is dirty, but perfect.
I am thinking about taking it on as a project, but dont want to get upside down.
Question...
If the car is brought back to A-1...Whats it worth??? Please give me a range.

It depends on if you do the work or have it done. If you have it done, the car better be free. If you do your own, then the car is worth about $1k. Figure parts costs-

clutch $500
Turbo (used) $300+
mounts- $200
paint- how much do you want to spend?

In super stock shape, it's worth between 9-12k depending on the area you live in and that assumes original paint.

 

You better buy it cheap. If you KNOW it needs that much then what about what you DONT know it needs?

If you can do it all yourself, great. If you are paying dont walk....run, fast.
