Cool Power Window Motor

This is semi OT...so I apologize.

How much would you estimate a dealer would charge to replace a power window motor on a 944, including the part?

The reason I ask this is because my fiance's 2000 Chevy Cavalier (don't ask, before I was around) needs a new power window motor. The dealer wants ~$500 to replace it!

Here is the kicker...the part is only about $40-50 and the process might take 1-1.5 hours. Let's do the math:

$500 total - $50 parts = $450 labor for 2 hours (being generous...that's how long it would take me)

$225/hour!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Are they hiring? If so, sign me up...I have a 1st grade education (top 95% of my class) !!! I have a hammer and pry bar...those are the only tools these cars deserve...maybe an Ocy-Acet torch...oooh and a gas can and matches!!!

By the way, this is the dealer. Maybe I will take out one of their Vettes and melt the tires in the parking lot...in reverse!!!

We should trade it in on a better vehicle like a Kia, a Schwinn or a donkey!

Ahhhhhh...much better now!

Max
