Default What to do with rear arms with no shocks to put back in?

I am removing the rear shocks for jp944, and have got one off. Right now the rear arm is being held up by a floor jack. Should I remove the cv joint and let it hang? I'm not sure what to do, help?

Thanks!
Jason

You can unbolt the CV and let the arm hang, it won't hurt anything. Just be careful under there.

Cool, safety is first that's why I'm asking. I'm not to worried if I damage a part, just if I damage me.......
