Mike, how is the wing project going? Also, I'm so sorry to hear about your water pump problem!

Sam, I don't think I told you this at the Fest, but your 968 wing looks great!

Sorry. I've been out of town for a long weekend, so I haven't had a chance to work on the wing much. In addition to fitting the wing, I am attempting to repair the driver's side fiberglass trim peice (it was previously snapped in 2) . It was partially repaired when I got it, and the PO told me it would be best to try to find a new one. Since the car is going to be down until I can find the time to fix the WP, I thought I would try my hand at perfecting it. It would be easier to just order another one, but I haven't done any bodywork in a long time (although this is probably one of the smallest bodywork projucts out there). Time is scarce these days, but it's nothing a couple of all-nighters can't fix.

thanks needporsche speed...

Mike, are you having the top spoiler painted kalahari?

quick hijack..this weekend Andy Kihm spotted the compression fitting on my line going to the fuel dampener pushing itself out , luckily he caught it and I drove home checking it every so often. Car is home safe, Pauer Tuning lines getting ordered today! Bob Farmer is going to put them in while fixing the oil leak and welding in a bung for 02 sensor..

Yeah, the spoiler is being painted Kalahari. I just want to get all of the pieces in condition to be bolted on before I send them away for paint. Where is your oil leak Sam? Are you ordering the dampener delete kit from Vic?

Mike that will look Soo sweet. I've never seen it in Kalahari and cant wait..

At least MY 944 fest tradition is a relatively quick (but dirty) fix.. A/C, alt belt gets thrown every year on the way into 944 fest..
AC delete will fix that baby..

Let's not start anymore traditions like this please..

Mike- Andy/Pete spotted the leak from an o-ring in the balance shaft housing, you could stick your finger in and move it around. Farmer says they shrink with age, but he said if that indeed is the case he is going to perform a little trick that he has used with much success on previous cars.

Dampener delete on the Pauer lines? He didnt mention that option..I just thought the kit "is what it is"...

I bought the SS lines, but it only consisted of the 2 main lines coming from the front passenger wheel well. I also remember something about an optional dampner delete (or maybe it was the little hose alone), but it was significantly more expensive due to a pricey 90 degree fitting. That was earlier this year and I don't know if he has changed the package.

I'm glad to hear that your leak is not major like an oil pan gasket. My old engine had that same issue.

Thanks Glen. I have not mounted the bottom piece yet, but I spent about 5 minutes tonight looking at how I can make some brackets so I don't have to drill through it. If you can, I'd love to see how the factory did it on the late hatches. The more pictures the better.
