Default DIY-Clutch master & slave = EASY!

I've been gearing up to do the clutch master and slave and did it over the weekend. This is a very easy job! It was my first time and it took about three hours from battery disconnect to finished! For those of you who will be doing this, please use a motive power bleeder or equivalent, it makes it so easy. I am simply amazed that other's pay $70+ an hour for someone to do this work for them and many times it's not even done right. It's true the key to being a budget 924/44/68 owner is to do your own work!!

I've been saying that for a while. The only hard part is getting to the bolts on the clutch master cylinder but with the right tools it aint that bad. The Motive bleeder does make it a snap. You can change your brake fluid in 10 minutes with it also. Best $45 I ever spent.

i can't get enough room to get a breaker bar on the bolts for the starter....other than that, I am sure it is an easy job...the only reason I am paying to have it done now is because i don't have a place to work on it, and it needs to get done, and I don't want to tow it up there, then have ti towed back, so it will all just get done there...

Yeah, funny thing is originally I was going to change my clutch myself and I wussed out. I had tried to get the starter off prior for that, and couldn't get one to budge. Miraculously, this time it came right off! A simple universal joint works for the two bolts, one has to kind of jam it in there, but took just minutes for the master!
BTW-not having ANY space to work sucks. I have a SMALL driveway, but at least I can do what I please, it's mine! Oh, to have a two car garage, what would that be like? Light, electricity, heat or A/C, ahhh one day...

I have a long, huge driveway, its just all gravel and dirt...thus ramps as jack stands aren't really safe in these conditions...
