Available at PartsAmerica for $5.49.. Not bad...
That's the stuff - it even smells good. Kinda like a Pina Colada. I generally squit some on a rag and then rub into the surface. On occassion I follow up with a dry rag and buff - but usually just rub it in and leave it. I use it on the tires as well.

Peanut Butter also works well on the spoiler.

If it'll turn my windshield washers black again, I'll be psyched! Does it wash off in the rain, or does the black last??

Its supposed to last several washes and such. It fades a bit in the rain but hardly.

It also comes in a spray bottle form.

Dude !! thats the best thought I've heard today. I hadn't even thought of those. Mine are really bad too.

How carefull do you have to be around NON-Black things ???
If it does get on paint, am I screwed ???

I may have to go down and get another bottle.

It looks like milk, yet it makes gray stuff black. Voodoo, I tells ya. It's greasy and tough to clean off of paint/windows, but doesn't stain non-porous surfaces.

BTW, Back to Black is KILLER on plastic instrument lenses and taillights!

I have worked it in on really bad places with a toothbrush, wipe and reapply- i.e., getting the fine paint and crud off of the top of the bumperettes after wetsanding.

I agree John, work the stuff in with a toothbrush on side markers and the seals even look good again. Plactic gets nice and clean- water resistant as well.

Amazing. nothing else worked.

Back to Black works ok for a short time. What you want to do is dye the spoiler. Use Surflex Vinyl dye to do this. Visit www.carcareonline.com and it'll tell you how to do this. I used this on my old 944 for the spoiler and the vinyl surround on the elephant ear mirrors. Works great. This will also work for black seats that have wear on the bolsters.

I'll pitch in my $.02. I've used Back to Black for the past six years. It doesn't wash off quickly in a rain, and it really does do a good job of restoring the black.

On a worn piece like that spoiler, it'll do great.

Cool

Been quite busy with a brief, but I will pick some up tonight, do the job, and hopefully post an image of the end result within the next 48 hours or so.

Another vote for Back to Black. Bought my 944 3 years ago after it was stored for 6-7 years. I know it never had ANYTHING on the spoiler in that time and I know the previous owner - I doubt it ever had ANYTHING put on it ever in its life. It was dry, dry, dry.

I have saturated it with B-T-B repetitively and it look almost perfect. Except for a little pattern where something like a Coke or some such was spilled and not wiped off right away, it is flawless, soft and satin black.

OK, I just used this stuff.

It looks just like really thick armor all.

It did nothing for the winshield wiper arms and door handles. I thought that it would put black on pieces that were worn away.

It just goes the extra step where armor all type products fall short.
I'll be doing the interior also , it should work wonders, but as far as restoring black, I was disappointed.
I would imagine since it is colorless, it would work on any type of colored stuff. I also just took the usual precaution as with other type of stuff.

Is there a product that not only conditions, but also dyes the stuff as well.
