I see that a rennlister suggested SEM Dye and I looked at their web site. But he had it professionally done with that product brand used. I want to know if anyone has done it themselves. With this product or other? Problems?

I've used the SEM spray fabric dye on sections of the carpets in both of my cars. Color I used was the Cordovan brown color, and using a brush to work it in with, and a few, to several coats, it worked very, very well! I was indeed pleased with the results on my very faded carpets , and how well it matched the existing/good sections. Just be sure to use a fairly stiff brush (cut down paint brush), and work each coat of dye into the fibers real good. IIRC, I paid approx. $11.00 a can for it at my local auto paint store. I've used about 3 cans of it so far. HTH
