Default TX Greaseslinger GTG

If anyone is not busy next weekend, I'll be in the garage replacing rear wheel bearings. They decided to go bad, and I mean BAD. I couldn't drive it to a shop to have this done even if I wanted to.

Of course, burgers and cold beer will be on-site. Special orders will be considered.

You talking Saturday or Sunday? I might be able to make it over for one of the two (assuming Joyce gives me a pass from packing for the move).

Sat, or Sun? I know I'll be working both, I'll stop by after work on Sat, might not be until 8:00 though.

I'm going to start Sat morning. We'll see how far I get. The door will be open for anybody that wants to drop by.

I'm going to try to get set up as much as possible this week. Kevin, if you want to come by late Saturday, give me a buzz before you drive down. Then I can let you know what the status is.

I've never done the rear bearings before, so there's going to be a learning curve on this one.

Hey, when has a Greaseslinger event EVER included working on something we already knew how to do? Where would the fun be in that?

Brandon, I was working. I got over being jealous of people that don't work on weekends long ago. Truth be told, I would have rather joined everyone up there. Maybe next year.

Actually, next year might be a feasible event for me. As evidenced by my wheel bearings taking a crap on me today, my car isn't ready for a road trip just yet. It's coming along though. All it takes is time and money.

David, I'll call you later this week. I haven't seen your car since you finished it, so we need to meet up sometime anyway.

I'm not sure yet. I'm hoping to get to Parade for a day or two. If so, I'm not sure what the weekend will bring. I'd like to learn to do bearings because I wonder if I'll have to do mine. I'll have to play it by ear. I may be taking out the wiring harness this weekend actually.

No sweat George. I'm prepared to fly solo, but I figured an extra pair of hands or two never hurt.

Thanks David, I'll PM you directions later today.

I f'ed up three fingers on my left hand yesterday. Evidently there was a fish hook or something in my anchor rope. Tore through three fingers like a razor blade through hot dogs. I bled like a stuck pig. We were joking about chumming for sharks it was so bad. Coincidentally, the first fish on was a shark.

Yo, FishSticks

Sure sorry to hear about your digits...... OUCH!!!

Sure would like to make it over for the bearing job. I am supposed to fly Thur - Sun.

But, I might be out of commission and off my feet by then. I have done something to my back and am in serious PAIN. The last time it felt like this I ended up have emergency back surgery of L4 & L5 disc's.

Hope it's not THAT bad this time, I get to see the surgeon on Thursday @ 2:15.

Good luck with your fingers, try and not bump them more than 20 -30 times today.....

Oh no Keith. You've got that all wrong.

I'd be happy to move Code Red along with whatever contents you can fit in there.
