Default The clank of our doors....

is so arrogantly sexy.

OT really, just a little sentimental today.

I am in love with that sound.

Yeah, I'm kind of fond of the sound and feel of it, too . . .

and 911s . . . . I could just shut 911 doors all day!

I feel you guys It's just that the window-rail in my driver-side door is broken loose inside of the door, so I can't slam it hard to hear that sound

(Older) 911 doors are sexy as hell!
Boy are we a bunch of fruity weirdo's or not ?

It makes me cringe everytime a passenger slams my door shut. My son would shut it so hard the speaker grille on the door would fly inward.
I showed him that a finger touch would close it, and now he remembers..

Oh, He's my kid alright. I gotta love him!

When I ask people not to slam my doors, I politely/jokingly refer to it as "Porsche etiquette"

Love that!

I'm glad it's not just me...my wife thinks I'm weird because of the sounds I listen for on my Porsche (and others). I describe the door closing as more of a "thunk". But irregardless...it sounds sooo sweet!

Not to hijack the threat, but does anyone else roll their window down when they get beside an air cooled 911 just to hear the whine of the engine??

My drivers door has a stupid rattle in it, and is slightly out of alingment

When I want my jollies I gotta use the passenger door

When I met my wife years and years ago she was dating a guy with a nice 911. When she would close her door too hard he would get uptight and say "It's a not a Volkswagen" I can't believe I won her heart with a 63 Econoline van "Slam it has hard as you want honey, it's not a Porsche"

I love pressing the trottle about a little over half, when the turbo starts spooling up, it's like a jet engine sounding....LMAO..

People turn to see what's going on....that's the best part..

Well I love that sound on my race car.

Inspite of all the work and race prep the doors are still solid.

My 83 I think has something broken in the door as I has a clank to it.

BTW... I also have had to train my new wife on Porsche door closing etiquette. Very importatant. She still does not understand, but has learned to comply.
