Default Weird Steering Problem

My 944 steers funny. Maybe its how they all are. Over 55 mph the steering wheel is harder to control and seems like it wants to go all over the place by itself. Is this a problem? I dont want to sound stupid . B/c my Mercedes dosent do this.

could be any number of things. my car is doing it now, and i suspect it's the tires. this "darting" back and forth may seem to follow the contours of the road. this is called tramlining. you may want to check the ball joints, wheel bearings, and of course, tires. also, check the suspension bushings to make sure they aren't worn or missing.
