Rear Right wheel bearing or CV? I get a intermittent noise off load/coasting and goes away when on gas. No clunk just a chirp and noticed some vibration on the interstate the past weekend now I hear noise and some vibration. Wheel weights intact and no play in rear wheel to speak of. TIA! Dal

I just had a noise in right rear. HAppened off gas. On gas it went away. Explained this to guy at auto yard. He siad CV joint. told me right rrear is the torque wheel. Bought used cv from him and replaced and good as used. I also had problems with rear bearings however, noise did not disappear when on load.

Good luck. easiest fix so far except for the $1.40 I spent to add fluid to fix the groaning coming from my power steering.
