Ashton,

Your engine is clean as a babys' butt! My engine will looka bout the same as yours- but my parts are electroplated. You are NOT JOKING about the cadmium re-plating of the fasteners, nuts bolts. But the result is actually better than OEM! Try spraying that Tire Black shine on anyhting that is black- it will look brand new again....better then Armor-All by FAR!

My wheels are exactly the same as yours too. Except, I dont have the hand-painted center caps. I am still trying to source these wheels, because I want another set. I hear they are actually Porsche Cup replicas, made in Italy. I know they are no longer produced. If you or your dad know anything else about the wheels- I would greatly appreciate it. I will post pix of my fully-restored 1986 944 N/A Stone Grey/Burgundy interior after I can replace my torn up seats with ones I can proudly sit on.

Damnation that looks good! Beautiful job, just do something about those hood insulation pads will ya?

Just a question - how come your fuel lines come from the passenger side fenderwell? I thought on the older cars they came from over by the brake booster. . .

And congrats for finally having an "on topic" post

Ashton,
Don't know if you're monitoring this thread anymore. I've been off the board for awhile...been too busy at work :>)

I'll definitely send your best to Al, he's the nicest guy. You'd LOVE the stuff in his shop. Too cool. The best wheels all over being chromed, polished, detail painted. I go sometimes just to look around! Fuchs, Halibrands, you name it.

Sam Lin, I don't know how I'll catch up to that guy you referenced, but I'll defintely give it a try. Thanks for the heads up. I'll post my own engine compartment when done. With work heating up it'll take a while.

Just curious, why do you have your timing covers off?
