Hey guys,

Remember that 87 Accord my brother bought? Well, I have to go pick it up Monday from CT and I do not know how to get temp tags!!

NYS does not issue temp registration for a car purchased out of state that is coming back into NY, and I went ALL over the CT DMV website looking how to do it, but can't figure it out!! What do I do?!

PS: Remember how I said I have no insurance (no cars on the road), so the temp tags will have to be my in my sisters name, will the title have to be?

Here's a suggestion....

call up the DMV in CT and see if they'll issue you a temp tag... Playing phone tag with them makes you a bit less lost than the website...

if that fails.. make an appointment with the DMV.. that's how its done here.. gets you through a lot faster.

if that doesn't work.. you might wanna just take your chances...
I drove my turbo home with the previous owner's tag.. and mailed it back to him when I got home.
