Default Driver's side seat belt

This needs replacing as it is all furry where it goes through the top bracket and will not retract.
Is it a big deal to replace with a new one myself?
Thanks,
Mike

No, but, since this is related, I might as well post. On my driver side seat belt buckle, I have to HOLD the button down, and pull the belt out of the buckle. I used to be able to push the button, and have the belt pop out. Are there any fixes for this, or do I have to buy a new buckle?

Right and left retacts are the same. The later years fit too. Have to take the plastic liner out of the rectangular hole to get the end goodies to slip through. You can just pull up the bottom and front edge of the panels to get the the retract unit.

When a belt does not eject like it used to there is something in the clasp. Maybe a penny or a dime but most likely just lint.

If the belt is fuzzy, I strongly urge you to replace it! Had to do that on mine, safety issue.

Buckles I would imagine, you can find around.

Julie, yes, I want to replace it because it must have been weakened where it's fuzzy.
